Lívia Czank, a journalist, writer and photographer, spent a full academic year with the ballet students of the Hungarian University of Dance, took part in all the important events of the year, and talked to students, masters and university staff. Their confessions outline the drivers of their actions, giving us a picture of both their difficulties and their joys. We get to know “selected” children with special abilities who are humble, maximalist, cohesive, and extremely independent. The exciting accounts are complemented by the author’s artistic beauty photos, which provide a glimpse into this beautiful, closed world full of many pitfalls that is hitherto unknown to many.
